Best HiHello Alternative: 8 Digital Business Cards to Switch To (2026)

Best HiHello Alternative comparison and review

Founder, Wave Connect | 1M+ digital business cards shared via Wave Connect

I've tested 15+ digital business card platforms over 6 years, including HiHello's Personal, Professional, and Business plans. This guide is based on hands-on experience with every platform listed - not spec-sheet comparisons.

HiHello alternative - if you're searching for one, you probably already know that HiHello is one of the most feature-rich digital business card platforms on the market. Four free card profiles, a corporate directory, SOC 2 security, auto-updating contacts. I genuinely respect what they've built.

But between paywalled analytics ($6/mo billed yearly just to see who viewed your card), no NFC hardware for sale, a 5-scan monthly cap on free lead capture, and sign-up prompts shown to your contacts, a lot of professionals are exploring other options. I've tested every platform on this list myself. Here are the 8 best HiHello alternatives in 2026.

My verdict

Wave Connect is the best HiHello alternative in 2026. It fixes the three things people leave HiHello over: free analytics, NFC cards you can actually buy, and event scanning that isn't capped at 5 a month. In our own August 2026 test on real conference badge lists, enrichment returned a verified business email for 91% of scans. HiHello still wins card-profile count, Blinq wins email signatures, and V1CE wins premium hardware.

Rank Platform Score Best for The honest gap
1 Wave Connect 9.0 / 10 Overall HiHello replacement One card profile per user; no corporate directory
2 Blinq 8.0 / 10 Email signatures & HRIS Slickest app; analytics and contact export need Premium
3 Popl 7.6 / 10 Flat-rate license pricing Pivoting from cards to events; no price without a sales demo
4 V1CE 7.5 / 10 Premium NFC hardware Gorgeous metal and 24K gold cards; the full software suite is a monthly bill
5 Uniqode 7.3 / 10 QR code management Dynamic QR codes and cards in one dashboard; CRM sync needs the 50-seat tier
6 Mobilo 7.2 / 10 Sales automation Automated follow-ups are great; a card purchase is required
7 Haystack 6.8 / 10 Budget team pricing Cheapest team seats anywhere; lighter feature set
8 Dot 6.5 / 10 Simplicity Cheapest way in; no CRM sync or team features

How I tested (and why you can trust this list)

Full disclosure: I founded Wave Connect, so it tops my list - I built it to fix exactly these problems. What I'll also do is tell you honestly where it loses. Every entry on this list gets the same treatment: the same five scoring criteria, real pros and cons, and a "not the best pick if" line that tells you when to choose someone else.

I personally tested every platform's free plan and team features, including HiHello's own paid tiers. Scores weight what HiHello switchers tell me they care about most: free access to your own data, hardware options, and uncapped lead capture. Every price on this page was re-verified against each vendor's live pricing page and help center on August 21, 2026.

Why People Look for HiHello Alternatives

HiHello has genuine strengths that I want to acknowledge before getting into the pain points. Their free plan gives you 4 card profiles - more than any competitor. The corporate directory is a feature no other platform matches, making it easy to find colleagues within your organization. Team leaderboards, auto-updating contacts when other HiHello users change their info, SOC 2 Type II security, and Salesforce, HubSpot, and Dynamics integrations on the Business plan round out a genuinely solid product.

So why are people looking elsewhere? It usually comes down to these specific frustrations:

  • Analytics paywalled: Want to know who's viewing your card, how often, or from where? That requires the Professional plan ($6/mo billed yearly as of August 2026). On Wave Connect's free plan, analytics are included out of the box. 🚩
  • Recipient sign-up prompts: After someone saves your HiHello card, they see a page prompting them to create their own HiHello account. Per HiHello's own help center, turning that prompt off is a paid-subscriber feature - on the free plan, your contacts see it whether you like it or not.
  • No NFC cards sold: This is the big one for hardware people. HiHello doesn't sell NFC cards or accessories - their plans let you program a card you bought somewhere else. If you want tap-to-share hardware from the same vendor that runs your card, you need a different platform.
  • 5-scan lead capture limit: HiHello's free plan caps you at 5 card and badge scans per month (scanning OTHER people's cards - sharing your own card is unlimited). Professional lifts that to just 20 a month unless you buy their unlimited-scans add-on. If you're collecting contacts at events, that's tight.
  • No free teams trial: Want to test the Business plan before committing? There's no credit-card-free trial for teams features.
  • Dashboard complexity: HiHello's admin dashboard is powerful but busy. In my testing, template management gets harder at scale, and the save-button workflow makes accidental changes easier than it should be.

None of this makes HiHello a bad product. If you need a corporate directory or four separate card profiles for free, it's genuinely the only option. But if the gaps above are frustrating you, here's what else is out there.

Four reasons people switch from HiHello: paid analytics, 5 scans per month on free, no NFC hardware, recipient prompts

What to Look for in a HiHello Replacement

The right HiHello alternative depends on which specific pain points are driving you to switch. Here's the criteria I'd focus on:

  • Free analytics and contact export: Don't pay to access data you generated - this should be a baseline feature
  • No recipient solicitation: Your contacts should stay YOUR contacts, not become the platform's sign-up funnel
  • Uncapped lead capture: If you scan badges or paper cards at events, a 5-a-month cap is a dealbreaker - look for pricing that scales with what you actually capture
  • NFC card options: If you want tap-to-share hardware, your platform should sell it directly
  • Browser-based sharing: Zero friction for recipients - no app download required
  • Clean, simple dashboard: Especially at team scale, simplicity beats feature overload

#1 Wave Connect - Best Overall HiHello Alternative

#1
9.0
My score

Wave Connect addresses every major HiHello pain point: free analytics, free contact export, zero recipient solicitation, NFC cards you can buy directly, and event capture with no monthly scan cap. I'm the founder, so I'm obviously biased. But I'll lay out exactly what's different and let you decide.

The biggest gap between Wave Connect and HiHello on the free plan is analytics. Wave Connect shows you who viewed your card at no cost; HiHello locks that behind the Professional plan ($6/mo billed yearly as of August 2026). If you've ever been frustrated by not knowing whether anyone looked at your card, that difference matters.

💡 From my experience: The number one thing I hear from former HiHello users is surprise that analytics are free. They'd been paying just to see basic card views. On Wave Connect that's included from day one - no upgrade required, no trial that expires.

What you get on Wave Connect's free plan:

  • Unlimited sharing (QR, NFC, link, Apple Wallet)
  • Analytics - see who viewed your card and when
  • Contact export to CSV - own your data, always
  • Email signatures
  • Zero recipient solicitation - your contacts don't get "Download Wave Connect" pop-ups

For events, Wave Connect is an event lead capture platform first, and this is where the HiHello comparison gets stark. HiHello caps free users at 5 badge scans a month and Professional at 20; Wave Connect's AI Badge Scanner has no monthly cap at all - you pay per enriched lead instead. The scanner reads the name and company printed on any badge (no organizer badge kit, no event API, no rental agreement), and Waterfall Lead Enrichment runs multiple data providers plus AI search behind every scan to find a verified email, phone, and LinkedIn profile. In our own August 2026 test on real conference badge lists, enrichment returned a verified business email for 91% of scans. Your whole team scans free (Unlimited Users), and a failed enrichment costs nothing.

NFC cards: Metal, bamboo, and PVC options at wavecnct.com/collections. This is a category HiHello simply doesn't play in - they let you program a third-party NFC card, but they don't sell hardware.

Security: SOC 2 Type II certified, SCIM/SAML for enterprise provisioning, free teams trial with no credit card required.

Why not 10? Half a point for one card profile per user (HiHello gives you 4 free), and half for no corporate directory. HiHello still wins those two.

Free $0 Unlimited sharing, analytics, contact export, email signatures
Pro $7/mo Custom branding, branded QR codes
Teams $60/user/yr Bulk Excel import, CRM sync (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho), admin dashboard; volume pricing at 100+ users
Event lead capture $10/lead pay as you go $8/lead prepaid at 500, $7/lead at 1,500, custom pricing past 2,000 leads/year. 10 free enriched leads to try; a failed enrichment costs nothing

Seat pricing covers the card platform; event lead capture is priced separately per enriched lead. Verified August 21, 2026.

Pros

  • Free analytics and free contact export, forever
  • No monthly scan caps: pay per enriched lead, $0 on failed enrichment
  • Zero recipient solicitation
  • Sells its own metal, bamboo, and PVC NFC cards
  • SOC 2 Type II, SCIM/SAML provisioning

Cons

  • One card profile per user (HiHello gives you 4 free)
  • No corporate directory feature

Best for: Anyone leaving HiHello over paywalled analytics, capped scanning, or the lack of NFC hardware - individuals and teams alike.
Not the best pick if: You need multiple card profiles per person or a company-wide directory. HiHello still wins those two.

#2 Blinq - Best for Email Signatures & HRIS

#2
8.0
My score

Blinq has the best email signature builder in the digital business card space and a deep HRIS integration library. If your company runs BambooHR or Workday, Blinq can automatically create digital cards when new employees are onboarded. That's a genuine time-saver HiHello doesn't match, and the mobile app is the most polished in the industry: Apple Watch support, clean UI, and a smooth sharing experience.

The catch for HiHello switchers is what's behind the paywall. HiHello gives every user free contact export; Blinq puts export, analytics, and its Universal Contact Scanner behind the $9.99/mo Premium plan. And for event teams, Blinq bills lead capture at $9.99 per captured and enriched lead on top of per-user Business seats, billed monthly in arrears - a lead that can't be enriched still consumes a partial credit.

Blinq pricing page showing Premium at 7.33 dollars per month billed annually and Business at 4.99 dollars per user per month

Business $6.99/user/mo ($4.99/mo annual) Team cards, templates, CRM sync; 5-card minimum
Lead capture $9.99 per captured lead On top of Business seats; billed monthly in arrears; partial credit on failed enrichment

Verified against blinq.me/pricing and their help center's lead capture pricing article, August 21, 2026.

Pros

  • Best email signature builder I've tested
  • HRIS auto-provisioning (BambooHR, Workday)
  • Most polished mobile app, with Apple Watch sharing
  • Duplicate leads and exports don't consume credits

Cons

  • $9.99 per captured lead on top of per-user seats
  • Analytics and contact export paywalled behind Premium
  • Recipients get "create your own Blinq card" prompts
  • Arrears billing: the event's real cost lands after the show

Best for: HR-driven teams that want cards provisioned automatically from their HRIS.
Not the best pick if: You're leaving HiHello over paywalled data (Blinq paywalls even more of it), or you want event costs known before the event.

#3 Popl - Best for Flat-Rate License Pricing

#3
7.6
My score

Popl built its name on digital business cards, and is now pivoting into event lead capture, sold as a flat license: custom quote, no rates shown without a demo. Their Universal Badge Scanner (their name for it) reads the printed name and company on a badge, and they advertise a 90% enrichment success rate (an email or LinkedIn match). That's their number, not mine - I haven't tested it. If you're leaving HiHello over the 5-scan monthly cap, Popl's answer is a license model sold through a custom quote; Wave Connect (#1) removes the cap with pay-per-lead pricing instead. They can also capture a contact from a LinkedIn profile QR code, though that's not unique: Blinq and Wave Connect scan those too.

Popl supports offline scanning that stores leads on your device and enriches them once you're back online, and their plans come with dedicated CSM onboarding.

Pros

  • Badge and LinkedIn QR capture in one app
  • Offline scanning that syncs later
  • CSM onboarding on their plans
  • Flat license favors very high-volume teams

Cons

  • You can't see a price without booking a demo
  • At small and mid volumes a flat license usually costs more than paying per lead captured
  • No self-serve team trial
  • Free card adds "Powered by Popl" branding with recipient solicitation

Best for: Teams that want one flat license number instead of metered pricing.
Not the best pick if: You want to comparison-shop on price this week, or you run a handful of shows a year.

#4 V1CE - Best for Premium NFC Hardware

#4
7.5
My score

V1CE has the most premium NFC card range on the market (Original, brushed metal, bamboo, and 24K gold), backed by a lifetime replacement guarantee. If HiHello's complete lack of NFC hardware is what's driving you to switch, V1CE is the premium hardware play: the card is designed to start conversations when it hits the table.

Their model changed in 2026, and it matters. V1CE now leads with "Client Capture OS," a software suite (networking CRM, automated follow-ups, booking links, agreements, payments) priced at $67/mo on their US site after a 30-day trial (their UK list price is £49.99/month). You can still buy a card on its own from $102 one-time with nothing recurring, but the full platform pitch is now a monthly bill. Their own positioning says it plainly: built "for the individual whose income depends on who they meet," not for enterprise teams.

Pros

  • Widest premium material range, up to 24K gold
  • Lifetime card replacement guarantee
  • Card-only option, one-time from $102, nothing recurring
  • Built-in booking, agreements, and payment links in the suite

Cons

  • Full software suite is $67/mo after the trial
  • No SOC 2 certification advertised, which matters in regulated industries
  • Built for individuals by their own admission - not team deployments
  • UK-based support hours

Best for: Professionals who want the most premium physical card on the table.
Not the best pick if: You're deploying cards across a team, or you need enterprise security certifications.

#5 Uniqode - Best for QR Code Management

#5
7.3
My score

Uniqode (formerly Beaconstac) pairs digital business cards with a full dynamic QR code platform - a combination no one else on this list offers. If your marketing team already manages QR campaigns at scale (menus, packaging, signage) and wants cards in the same dashboard, Uniqode consolidates both. Bulk card creation, template management, and Google Workspace integration make it a credible team deployment tool.

The trade-offs for HiHello switchers are the free tier and where the CRM sync lives. The free plan is one user with lead generation capped at 5 leads and card analytics that expire after 14 days. The Team plan ($6/user/mo billed annually) unlocks unlimited analytics and lead generation, but Salesforce, HubSpot, and Microsoft Entra ID integrations sit on the Business+ tier, which carries a 50-user minimum and custom pricing.

Pros

  • Dynamic QR codes and digital cards in one dashboard
  • Bulk creation and template management for teams
  • SOC 2, GDPR, and ISO compliance advertised
  • Straightforward $6/user/mo Team pricing

Cons

  • Free analytics expire after 14 days
  • Salesforce and HubSpot sync locked to the 50-seat Business+ tier
  • No badge scanning: event capture is lead forms, not a scanner
  • QR platform first; the card product is the side offering

Best for: Marketing teams that already run QR campaigns and want cards in the same tool.
Not the best pick if: You need CRM sync on a small team, or you scan badges at events.

#6 Mobilo - Best for Sales Automation

#6
7.2
My score

Mobilo is a hardware-first platform built around NFC cards and lead tracking dashboards, with multiple card modes that give sales reps flexibility for different situations. You can set your card to function as a standard business card, a landing page, a lead gen form, or a direct URL redirect - all from the same physical card.

The automated follow-up feature is useful for sales workflows: when a prospect taps your card, Mobilo can automatically trigger an email or SMS follow-up. That's not something HiHello or most other card platforms offer natively.

Pros

  • Four card modes from one physical card
  • Automated email/SMS follow-up on tap
  • Straightforward, affordable team pricing

Cons

  • Card purchase required for every paid tier
  • Less polished than Blinq or Wave Connect for general card use
  • More limited CRM integrations

Best for: Reps who want the card itself to trigger automated follow-up.
Not the best pick if: You don't want to buy hardware just to unlock the software.

#7 Haystack - Best for Budget Team Pricing

#7
6.8
My score

Haystack is the cheapest way to put digital business cards on a whole team: $2.50 per user per month billed annually on the Business plan for teams of 10 or more. The free Personal plan is generous too - unlimited digital cards, unlimited shares, and an unlimited AI card scanner. That last one is worth underlining for HiHello switchers: Haystack lets you scan paper business cards without a monthly cap for free, where HiHello stops you at 5 a month.

The trade-off is depth. Card design customization, smart email signatures, CRM integrations, and analytics all start at the Pro tier ($4.50/user/mo billed annually), and there's no badge-scanning event product - the scanner handles paper cards, not conference badges with enrichment behind them.

Cons

#8 Dot - Best for Simplicity

#8
6.5
My score

Dot is the simplest option on this list - buy an NFC card or accessory, set up a basic profile, and you're done. One-time purchase, no recurring fees, no complex dashboards. If you just need a tap-to-share contact card and don't care about analytics, CRM sync, or team features, Dot does exactly that.

They sell NFC cards, phone stickers, and accessories. Tap your Dot against someone's phone, your profile opens in their browser. That's it. Zero learning curve - which is genuinely refreshing compared to HiHello's busier dashboard.

Should You Switch from HiHello?

Not everyone should. Here's my honest read after testing both sides:

Stay on HiHello if

  • You actively use multiple card profiles - 4 free cards is the best deal anywhere
  • Your company relies on the corporate directory to find colleagues
  • You rarely scan other people's cards, so the 5-a-month cap never bites

Switch if

  • You're tired of paying $6/mo just to see who viewed your card
  • You want NFC hardware from the same vendor that runs your card
  • You capture leads at events and keep hitting scan caps
  • You don't want your contacts seeing "create your own card" prompts

Wave Connect team digital business cards on a phone
Six-step checklist for migrating from HiHello to a new digital business card platform

How to Migrate from HiHello

Switching from HiHello is straightforward if you follow the right order. Here's what I'd recommend:

  1. Export your HiHello contacts: Go to Settings, choose Export Contacts, and HiHello emails you the spreadsheet. This works on every plan, including free.
  2. Sign up for your new platform: Most alternatives on this list offer free plans. Create an account and set up your profile before canceling HiHello.
  3. Recreate your digital profile: Add your contact info, photo, company details, and social links. Takes about 5 minutes on most platforms.
  4. Import your contacts: Upload your CSV export to your new platform. Wave Connect supports direct CSV import.
  5. Order NFC cards (if that's why you're switching): Since HiHello doesn't sell hardware, this might be your first time buying physical cards. Check out Wave Connect's NFC cards, V1CE, Mobilo, or Dot for options.
  6. Update your QR codes and email signatures: Replace any HiHello QR codes on printed materials, email signatures, or Zoom backgrounds with your new platform's QR code.
  7. Reconnect your CRM: If you were using HiHello's Salesforce or HubSpot integration, set up the equivalent on your new platform so leads keep flowing.

💡 Pro tip: Don't cancel HiHello until you've confirmed your contacts transferred and your new profile is live. Run both in parallel for a week. Better safe than sorry.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's wrong with HiHello?

Nothing is fundamentally wrong: HiHello has 4 free card profiles, a corporate directory, and strong CRM integrations. Most people switch because analytics are paywalled ($6/mo billed yearly), free lead capture is capped at 5 scans a month, and there's no NFC hardware for sale.

How does Wave Connect compare to HiHello in providing digital business cards with NFC sharing and CRM integration?

Wave Connect sells its own NFC cards (metal, bamboo, and PVC) and includes CRM sync with Salesforce, HubSpot, and Zoho with custom field mapping in its Teams plan; HiHello sells no NFC hardware and reserves its Salesforce, HubSpot, and Dynamics integrations for the Business tier. HiHello does let you program a third-party NFC card to your HiHello profile. Analytics are free on every Wave Connect plan, where HiHello requires Professional ($6/mo billed yearly). To be fair to HiHello: its free plan includes 4 card profiles to Wave Connect's 1, and its corporate directory has no Wave Connect equivalent.

How much does HiHello cost in 2026?

As of August 2026, HiHello's free plan includes 4 cards and 5 card and badge scans per month. Professional is $6/mo billed yearly ($72/year) with 16 cards and 20 scans a month, and Business is $5/user/mo billed yearly ($60/user/year) for teams of 5 to 100. Enterprise pricing for 101+ users is custom.

What are some free alternatives to HiHello?

Wave Connect offers the most complete free plan, including analytics, contact export, and email signatures at no cost. Haystack's free plan is worth a look too: unlimited cards and unlimited card scanning, where HiHello's free plan caps scanning at 5 a month. HiHello's free plan still gives you the most card profiles (4).

What is the best HiHello alternative for teams?

Wave Connect is the best HiHello alternative for teams, with $60/user/year pricing, a free trial with no credit card, and volume pricing for 100+ users. HiHello's Business plan is the same $60/user/year but has no free teams trial. On a tight budget, Haystack's Business plan is $2.50/user/mo billed annually for teams of 10 or more.

What is the best HiHello alternative with NFC cards?

Wave Connect and V1CE both sell premium NFC cards: Wave Connect in metal, bamboo, and PVC, and V1CE up to 24K gold. HiHello doesn't sell any NFC hardware (you can only program a card bought elsewhere), so any alternative that ships its own cards is an upgrade in that regard.

Can I transfer my contacts from HiHello?

Yes. Go to Settings, choose Export Contacts, and HiHello emails you a spreadsheet of your contacts on any plan, including free. Import that file into your new platform.

Does HiHello limit how many cards you can share?

No. Sharing your own HiHello card is unlimited on all plans. The 5-scan monthly limit on the free plan applies to scanning OTHER people's cards and badges (lead capture), not to sharing your own.

Does HiHello solicit my contacts?

After someone saves your card, HiHello shows them a page prompting them to sign up for their own HiHello account. Per HiHello's help center (August 2026), paid subscribers can turn that prompt off; on the free plan it stays on. Wave Connect shows recipients no sign-up prompts on any plan.

Does HiHello offer an SMS or iMessage API?

No. HiHello (hihello.com) is a digital business card and professional presence platform, not a messaging API provider. The only SMS-related feature it offers is sharing your card via email or SMS. If you're evaluating SMS or iMessage API tools (Sendblue or Twilio alternatives, for example), neither HiHello nor any platform compared here is what you're looking for.

Which HiHello alternative works without an app?

Wave Connect is fully browser-based: recipients don't need to download anything to view your card or save your contact info. V1CE and Dot are also browser-based.
